I am trying to make a music video and iwas wondering the best way to edit. Right now I have 4 seperate video tracks all synced up and one music track. The idea I have is to edit all 4 tracks into one (duh) but iwanted to know if their was an easier way to do it than to cut up every single track and pastethem togeather. I am woried that my timeing will be off. Can you actually have all tracks up and basicly tell vegas where and when you want the track played withought cutting it up?

I have a feeling I am asking for the 1-2-3 edit and done way (like edit your video in 5 min) but I know that it can't be that easy....or can it?

You can manipulate the video composite level with track envelopes.
Also check out a plug-in wizard called Excalibur for vegas. $75.00
Looks like it was made for what you want to do.

Music videos can be very tedious, and yes you have to cut them up into little tiny pieces. You don't move them, you split them where they are, then choose which one you want for that spot by deleting the rest. The software mentioned above helps to automate the process.
Music videos which you can look at HERE consisted of 300 - 400 clips, and used up to 24 layers before deleting the unused soundtracks. They still had 8 - 10 layers left for rendering.
Typically, these projects can take 60 - 90 hours of work to complete.
