I am looking for someone in the Orlando Florida area, with a good amount of experience in Vegas Pro 8. I have never before used video editing and would like to make it a new hobbie ( I mean I don't even know how to get the content into the program) I am willing to pay someone to teach me step by step.
I am retired so availabiliy is flexible

Hope you find the local help you need, but in case you don't, you're not out of luck! Sony Creative Software's web site has lots of fantastic tutorials that will show you how easy it is to get started.

I just wanted to thank Himanshu for pointing out the tutorials. While I've been using VMS for quite awhile, I still picked up a few pointers from those lessons. I'd also like to point out that there are also some nice tutorials on YouTube that I found helpful.

The Help > Show Me How tutorials are nice as well.

Over in the DVD Architect forum some asked about a couple NAB tutorial videos, I found them and posted links to them HERE. While they're for previous versions of Vegas and Architect (not Studio) it does give a good overview.

Altair 4, you're welcome. As a matter of fact, I didn't look at the tutorials for a long time thinking they were only for Vegas (which they were marked as at the time), but I sat through it and learned that it's almost all applicable to the VMS version also, I sat through and watched all of them and was quite enlightened after a year or two of self-taught usage.

MSmart, I agree about the Show Me How tutorials...it is the best idea on how to lead a person through a task, with their own data. Kudos to the inventors/designers/implementors.
