Sounds like the 2 gig limit of fat32.. are you using a FAT32 file system?? if so you need to convert it to NTFS... you can do this from the run box just type Convert X:/FS:NTFS

X= drive letter

I go with what flack says too. If you have a dedicated capture drive reformatting should not be a problem. With NTFS your AVI 's can get as big as they need to be with out splitting.

If it was the FAT32 problem then the limit would be 4GB, not 2GB.

The 2GB limit comes from the AVI-1 format itself. The only way to create an AVI file larger than 2GB is to use AVI-2 / Open DML. There is a checkbox for using this format or not in the Custom render screen.
