[Need help] Vegas stuck in "Creating file I/O manager.."

rasmus-l wrote on 11/15/2016, 7:08 AM

Hi there! This is my first post, so might be in the wrong category.

My problem is just as the topic says. Everytime I try to launch Sony Vegas Pro 13 it freezes at "Creating file I/O manager..".
This problem came after I updated to Windows 10.

I have tried almost everything Google says, such as;
*Open taskbar and end "File I/O surrogate (not visible)" and if there would be another "vegas" is the background.
*Updated QuickTime
*Re-installed Sony Vegas.
*Downloaded Vegas Pro 14 trial, same problem here.
*Restart my computer (like 50 times by now)
*Change the compability thingy in properties to Vista/7/8

So.. Is there anyone that can help me?

Geforce GTX 960
8 GB RAM
AMD FX-4350

Have you tried running as Administrator?

As far as I know there are now other codecs installed, atleast none recently. I have to take a closer look on the Windows drivers, I'll be in touch about that.

Yes, several times.
