Need help with keyframe animation

Hi, I'm using keyframes in Pan/crop to zoom in and out and pan around a frame. But I think that I am doing something wrong. Let say I place a keyframe at point A in which I've zoomed into the frame. I position another keyframe, point B, 12 frames further in which 've zoomed out and panned left to a specific position. I had keyframes in between to control the zoom and pan. But this keeps altering the properties of the point A keyframe. I have to go back to it and readjust it, which in turn alters the second keyframe and so on and so forth. I eventually get it the way I want the animation to go but it's a lot of messing around. What's the trick to setting a keyframe and not have Vegas automatically readjust it?

Thanks

Never seen this behavior. Sorry if this is a bit elementary, but if you, say, aren't confusing multiple tracks and don't have parent/child relationships are you maybe just getting you timeline and Event Pan/Crop window confused? If you are not doing this already, try setting your keyframes using only the Event Pan/Crop window.

Do you use the Sync Cursor Button?

I'm only using pan/crop, not track motion and yes the sync button is enabled. It's ok, managed. Thanks.

Hey Colin;

I suspect you are more experienced with keyframes than I am, but I did get tripped up and pulled my remaining hair out a while back when I was working on some PIP stuff. My key issue....I did not realize that keyframes are toggled when working w/in a VFX and automatically generated when in Track Motion or Pan mode. My ignorance was compounded by the fact that I had my Track Motion window positioned towards the bottom with the lower part of the window off the screen. It was perfectly aligned with a border so I did not realize the Keyframe lanes were even down there....duh!. Because I thought I had to toggle keyframes, it never dawned on me to look down there. Again, probably just a junior error but it did make no sense at the time (like your issue) Good luck
