Need new backgrounds

I just started using Vegas and would like to know how to import new back Media Generators to be used as backgrounds. I can't find the folder where they are, so I don't know which format to use. I do have a bunceh of them made up for another edit system, but can't figure out how to get them into Vegas. Thanks

1. Highlight the length of time you'd like to insert the background on a track.
2. Right click inside the highlighted area and select "Insert Generated Media" from the menu.
3. Open one of the generated media formats, ie; noise, gradient, solid color, checkerboard, test pattern, etc.

Now you can keyframe the media to do what you'd like it to do, add FX, composite with it, whatever.
The media generator is not 'imported' as it's part of the application itself, and is merely accessed via right click or insert menu.

You can also get free texture loop at MainConcept every month.

And you can purchase the Sony Textures/Visions libraries that are basically video loops. Excellent for DVD backgrounds

The Sony textures do look excellent compared to the free MainConcept.

You get what you pay for ;-)

Use the Vegas explorer window to load your files. What format are they in?
