Of course I'm biased...the linked book is pretty good as a starter level, explaining a lot of things...Bryce Button's book is better, but it's quite a bit more expensive.

thanks guys. just bought two copies from Amazon. I am going to give one to my friend, who has a baby coming this end of the month. And keep the other copy so the next time who somebody comes up to me... And I am sure I will learn a lot from it too.

Well, it's not a book, but it is some very good (and detailed) info about the film / video business. About everything topic you could think of is covered by a practicing professional.

I recommend Ted Nugent's "Spirit of the wild" or "Blood Trails". Lots of good tips on "shooting" in there.
