Need rendering help FAST!

Hello,
I've been trying in vain to render a 25-second clip that consists of 9 small images that pan from top to bottom. This thing won't go past 1 second. I get the following error, which Vegas claims is memory resource-related:

cxAlloc = 2376, cyAlloc = 2988, cBuffersAllocated = 0
ESP[00] = 02420FB0
ESP[01] = 023719C8
ESP[02] = 00000000
ESP[03] = 01C17B50
ESP[04] = 00000000
ESP[05] = 00000000
ESP[06] = 00000000
ESP[07] = 005A5DF5
ESP[08] = 00000000
ESP[09] = 01EDE6F0
ESP[10] = 02421790
ESP[11] = 02420FB0
ESP[12] = 005ADF58
ESP[13] = 005ACBE6
ESP[14] = 02420FB0
ESP[15] = 01EDE774
ESP[16] = 005AE3D9
ESP[17] = 02420FB0
ESP[18] = 01EDE838
ESP[19] = 01EDE7C0
ESP[20] = 02421790
ESP[21] = 02421088
ESP[22] = 023719C0
ESP[23] = 00000001
ESP[24] = 02420DD0
ESP[25] = 01EDE838
ESP[26] = 02421790
ESP[27] = 030E3C30
ESP[28] = 0000001B
ESP[29] = 00000000
ESP[30] = 00000001
ESP[31] = 00000000

The images are about 18 megs apiece at 72 dpi. I have plenty of disc space, and 756 Megs of RAM. I'm using Win 2000, and Task Manager is showing that I'm only using 50% CPU, and 256 megs of RAM. I have a dual P3 1 gig setup.

I'm staring a deadline in the eye!

Thanks!

What format are you rendering to?

You say smal images, but at 18 MB each, they don't sound samll. What size are the X/Y dimensions?

Whate version of Vegas, what format are you rendering to?

It was the size of the images. 2 of the 9 on the screen were 18 megs, the rest were less than 2. I downsized the large ones and the render went fine.

Thanks.
