Need some basic burning help

I have a SD DVD from a camcorder I want to burn as mpeg-2. I have imported the entire disc, rendered the video as MPEG-2, the audio as AC-3, and have it now in the Architect timeline ready to go.

I will dig into the book but want to get this burned and mailed off...how do I remove the text "MENU 1" from the video?

I have 950 GB of space on my drive and the folder I want to save it in gets an error message of not enough room..how do I change this?

I know this is prob Architect 101 but if you could help me that would be great, thanks.

When you say you want to "remove Menu 1", do you mean you want to have an auto-launch video with no menus at all?

Meantime, is your 950 gig drive an external or second hard drive or is it your main drive? If it's a second or external drive, make sure it's formatted NTFS rather than FAT32. FAT32 drives (this is how they come from the factory) have a file size limit that can choke on DVD production. Also, make sure the drive is defragmented.

Thanks, I'll check out the link.

When my project is in the timeline, there is a "MENU 1" text in the preview along with the video, for the entire duration....will this text burn to the final?

I have it in a Menu based DVD but whether or not I include a real mune..maybe just a few chapters...will the text go away?

The drive is an internal 1TB Black drive than was formatted NTFS.

The tutorial you have cleared alot of things up..thanks.

Only issue I have is the HD space....I have 873 GB and only need 1.2 and it says i've exceeded the 1GB limit.

Not sure what this means but must be something simple.

NTFS

When I installed the HD, I formatted to NTFS.

The error message I get is in Architect stating I exceeded the 1GB limit, right before I go to burn the DVD.

It appears as if you have added your video file as a menu (hence the text "Menu 1" on your screen) and menus should not exceed a 1 GB limit.

The menu text can be easily deleted by selecting it, and then deleting it.

Did you drag the video onto the timeline? If so, that is the cause of the error. What you should do is drag it onto the preview window. If you don't want a menu at all use Files>New and choose single movie. You will then be prompted to choose the source video file.

That's exactly what I did....thanks.
After viewing the tutorials I still didn't pick up on the fact the vids were dropped in the preview, thought that was just an option over the timeline.
