I have a problem and need to resolve it. I'm editing a project that was copied and pasted from another project to a second instance of Vegas. After copieing the parts of the project I want, I began editing. I noticed that when i split and overlap for a transition I cannot get the audio to move with the video. Snapping, both audio and video will independently snap when I split off a segment and then delete the segment. I have Enable Snapping-On, Auto Ripple-On, Envelope Locked to Event-On and Ignore event Grouping- Off. Also when I split I can only get Vegas to split only the Video or the Audio, not both at once. I sem to remember being able to , move the video and audio at once and split both video and audio at once and being able to delete the audio and video selected segments at once. I cannot do any of these things now and it has caused some sync problems that I have to sort out manually.

I was just wondering if I had changed somethig somewhere else that I did not know would do this. Someone had mentioned turning the quantize to frames on. At least on my copy of Vegas it cannot be turned on or off just clicked and assume it's done unlike everything else in the tools menue that depresses or checks.

Any thopughts.

Select the audio and video events and group them together by pressing the "G" key.

to enable/disable Quantize to Frames, Alt+F8 or Options/Quantize to Frames.
You can also double click the toolbar and insert a button on it for Quantize to Frames.
