Wake up at 5:00 am, point your camera towards the east, and press record???
Trichome wrote on 1/10/2006, 9:13 AM
if you miss that oppertunity, point toward the west at sundown, velocity envelope to reverse the clip

obvious suggestion. But...

a) they aren't paying me enough for that... several hours of work for a 10-sec intro clip
b) I don't have the time (I have a day job)
c) I live in an urban area and don't want to have to search for a location with a decent view

Church's are about "people". Urban areas are made up of "people". Shoot the sunrise on a Saturday morning over the house tops. One hour of work MAX to shoot a sunrise.

OR...

Do a rewrite and get rid of the sunrise opening.

These are from Cheinworks.

These are sunsets. So just run them in reverse. They are 15 bucks for a collection of 30sec clips .
Or you can buy a 14 sec clip from artbeats for $179.00.
Hope this helps.

I have a sunset with clouds over Lake Michigan. As suggested you could reverse it.

Send me an email and we can work out the logistics. bcnabeAThotmailDOTcom

You will also have to flip the video horizontally.

At sunrise the Sun will rise up and move towards the right of the frame. If you merely reverse the video for a sunset you will get the Sun moving up and to the Left of the frame. I think most people will notice this as being a strange way for the Sun to behave (they may not <actually> realize what is going on... but just know that it is not right).

Depending on the type of sunset you are working with it may still look ok being reversed and flipped horizontally.

or you could just use the reverse sunset and add a subtitle "Argentina". Sun rises to the left in S.Hemisphere ;-) Think about it.

Too true. Things are a little upside-down there. I did make an assumption 2G was in the Northern Hemisphere.
