I got hired from a mother of two to make a Father's Day present. She gave me 30 8mm tapes of basketball games to transfer/cut. I would love some suggestions for this project.
Randini,
Start with an opening...Mr. Basketball or The Basketball Boys (depending on who is in the movies) Starring--(flash a still of Dad or the boys in a jumpshot)--then start lining up clips of him or the boys in games. Do some spotlights of the main subject doing one thing at a time like shooting (several ocurrences), passing (same), break aways or layups...you get the picture. Then end with a few shots at the buzzer (add the buzzer if you have to). Make sure the show is set to one of the upbeat basketball songs that they play at the pro games and keep the show to just the length of the song. Cut the clips so they really move fast except for a slow-mo or two or maybe reverse motion when appropriate. I think there are some basketball shows on Chienworks site way down at the beginning of clips. Have fun with it.
