Need to do a voice over in Vegas

Hello again, I have a project to which I need to add a voice over in several places. I have a USB microphone and cannot seem to find where I need to go to set the record device in Vegas. In Sound Forge 6 Studio I have done it and recorded some voice there. However when I "Arm" the Audio Track for recording nothing happens because I believe Vegas cannot see my microphone. I cannot seem to find anything in the book or the online help on this so I'm posting it here.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

MENU:
Options>Preferences>"Audio Device" tab
Set "Audio Device Type" to your prefered driver of your sound card
Set "Default Audio Record Device". For you, it probably would be best to set one of the LEFT or RIGHT settings to record Voice for a MONO recording.

MENU:
INSERT>AUDIO TRACK>Enable record on the track.
If you need to change the input, there is a small speaker Icon, which will bring up the same information listed under the "Default Audio Record Device".

I did as you said and it worked. I set the device to the Windows Clssic Wave Driver and showed my sound card as the default and the USB mic as the default recoding device. Thanks very much for your help.
