Need to effect 1 camera w/i Multicamera Editing

I recently did a multicamera shoot. My Camera-2 footage needs a slight color correction. Before combining the two video tracks into a single multicamera track, I corrected the camera-2 track using the Track-FX, but the effect does not hold once the tracks are combined for multicamera editing. I have read that the effect will reappear when rendering ~ but it does not. (reference: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?ForumID=4&MessageID=609971)

Is it a good/bad idea to simply render the corrected footage to a new AVI file and use that file instead of the original footage? Or, is there a guaranteed way to effect one camera prior to entering multicamera mode and have the effect remain in play?

Thanks!!!

Yup, the guaranteed way (which you can even do after you combine the tracks into one multi-camera track) is to add the color correction to the Media. Just go to the Project Media tab, right-click the media file for that camera and select Media FX... and add your color correcting FX there. This will effect all the events that use that media regardless of what track they are on.

Ahhhhh, that's what they meant in the other thread by adding the effects at the bin-level. I just didn't get it ~ now I do.

Thanks jr!
