Need two sounds: clapper and censor beep

Heya...

Editing a small promotional video and I'm looking to get that well known clapper beep for flash transitions between edits -- like you would see in end credit outtakes for just about any Pixar movie.

Beyond that, I need the stereotypical censor curse-word beep.

Any idea where to get these? I tried findsounds.com and haven't come up with them yet...

Thanks,

- jim

Have you got a microphone?
Clap two pieces of wood together, job done.
Oh and don't get the mic between the wood, ouch.

No, it's not a *clap* -- it's a specific beep. It's made by a digital clapboard. It's actually two beeps, IIRC. I s'pose you'll just tell me to get a mic and digital clapboard next :D

got any movies on DVD? Many blooper reels use that sound in there. There ya go! :D

So yea: get a mic (or perhaps the stereo mix) and a digital clapboard. Didn't say it had to be a physical one. :D

So it's probably two short 1KHz tone bursts. Get an ordinary 1Khz tone and edit that in Vegas or SF. SF can generate tones, Vegas also has a tone generator although it's a little tricky to get hold of the output as it's used for tape leaders, if all else fails do a PTT and capture it back, or if someone can tell me the specifics of the tone I can make one and email it to you. All I found from a lot of Googling was it's 1KHz, probably from the pilot tone generator.

Also from memory there's a number of tone files over at VASST.
