I have a pair of Sony DHR-1000 tape transports that I use in post to feed in the camera footage. VidCap has full device control, but no audio or video; it fails with a "Device Driver Failure". Nero 6 Nerovision Express and Sonic MyDVD (hey, don't laugh, it was bundled with something I purchased recently) work perfectly with full device control, read and write. Obviously I would rather use Sony VidCap. Any ideas why it doesn't work? I'm running Sony VidCap 5.0a (5.0b currently downloading), Win XP SP2, and Microsoft's Sony DV Tape Recorder/Player driver V5.3.2600.2180 (xpsp_sp2_rtm.040803-2158) .
