Needing some guidance w/ GPU Settings for both Vegas Pro 16 & Boris FX

Long story short, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 TI (as well as the Intel HD 530) on my Dell XPS 8900 w/ 16 Gigs of RAM.

Whenever I add Boris Continuum FX to a video clip, it begins to lag ridiculously in the preview window or just freezes all together. Can someone give me the basic low down on what settings I should have on both my NVIDIA control panel as well as Vegas preferences to ensure the best performance?

I have "allow legacy GPU rendering" checked under the general tab and "GPU acceleration of video processing" is set to the GeForce GTX 1080TI. Am I missing something else?

*Also, it doesn't matter what quality I set the preview window under, it lags.

That does nothing for your 1080Ti, it is meant for the old Fermi based GPUs until GTX580 and allows to render with such a card utilizing CUDA and the Mainconcept AVC encoder.

Jave you tried setting the Intel iGPU for timeline acceleration? Have you tried disabling the iGPU in the bios? There many threads about this kind of issues.

When you have the latest drivers for that card (416.94) try in the Nvidia panel to start the program with the Nvidia card

and select in Options/ Preferences/Video that card for hardware acceleration

I think that's all you can do besides enough RAM and set the Windows swapfile to your fastest drive with enough space.
