Needing to add a Stopwatch to video

Question: I am filming athletes running a 40 yard dash. I would like to add a Visual Stopwatch or counter to the video to show how fast they ran the 40 yd. dash. I know I can put in a text layer that would display the final time but I am looking for something a little more exciting.

Any ideas?

Experiment with the 'timecode' videofx. It's not very exciting, but it is in thousands of seconds.

Thank you very much for your reply. It is amazing that I have been using this program for a couple of years and never noticed the timecode FX.
