I purchased the new VMS 10 Platinum and installed. I have NEO-HDV Cineform
which, in one form or another, I've used for several years but I can't seem to get these two to work together as they did in the past.
Any solution on how to reconnect them would be appreciated.
You need to explain a bit more of what the problem is. See, there are several things that I have encountered with older Cineform versions, for example:
- Some old .avi Cineform files, that were encoded 2-3 years ago aren't read anymore with the new Cineform decoder.
- Vegas Pro 10 requires the latest version of Cineform 5.x to recognize Cineform AVIs. I don't think this was a requirement for Platinum 10, but you never know.
- Your NeoHDV installation does not provide a decoder to Vegas, for some reason, so try to re-install it (do not unregister your Cineform installation).
- What happens if you install the latest freeware Cineform NeoPlayer? (can be installed on top of NeoHDV)
Or are you talking about not seeing the encoder in the AVI customized dialog? As I mentioned you need to be more precise in your bug reports.
Re-install your NeoHDV, it should show up. NeoPlayer does not offer an encoder, only a decoder. That's how Cineform makes money, from its encoder. So, re-install NeoHDV, and then install NeoPlayer on top to replace the decoder, but leave the encoder intact.
If nothing works, you might have to buy the latest NeoSCENE, which costs $100. You can try its trial to make sure it gives you an encoder, after you uninstall both NeoHDV and NeoPlayer (don't unregister it though, in case you need to go back).
NeoSCENE allows for full HD btw, NeoHDV only goes up to 1440x1080, so it's worth the money.
