Nested nasty

Well not that nasty but unexpected.
R-Click nested event and Edit in Vegas. Edit, save and close. Dang the proxy doesn't update so I don't get to see the effect of my edit in the parent project. There seems to be no option to force a rebuild of the proxy either.
Exit parent project and proxy gets rebuilt so not end of the world problem. Still seems to me the codesmiths could make this a bit more fluid in the next release. I think I'd prefer it if the rebuild was optional. There's enough complaints about waveform files being rebuilt, let's not add nested proxies as well.

Bob.

Menu Options > Preferences > General Tab > make sure “close media files when not…” is checked.
Then you should get update of nested project.

I've had that a few times with different versions of Vegas. I believe 8.0c has been OK though. Maybe had it happen to audio a couple times in 8.0c.

What I did was add some bogus character(s) on the end of the nested veg filename, the project into which it is nested says the file is missing, point to the new nested veg filename, all works. You can then change it back if needed and all rebuilds again.

It is a pain though, especially if you have a lot of nested veg's.

Happens, sometimes, in 8.0c for me. Exiting Vegas and restarting fixes it, most times. Sometimes, when minor changes are made, vegas does update. Only workaround to get it to update is by deleting the sfo file.
