Nested project problem in Vegas 9

I've never used nested projects before but I have 5 projects that I need to combine into one big one so thought I would give it a try but....

When importing a .veg the audio and video are way out of alignment and in some cases the audio starts part way through while the video starts from the beginning. Am I missing something really obvious here? I've tried deleting the .sfk and sfap files. Using Vegas 9 64 bit on Vista.

Thanks

Ian

Lately I've been using nested veg files on V9 64 bit with VIsta 64. No problems.

Not sure what you mean by "importing" -- I just drag the .veg to the timeline from the explorer window. Works fine that way. I get one video track and one audio track. No sync problems.

You could also render out each of the 5 projects in some "loseless" format ( AVI ? ) and combine on the timeline. I've done it both ways with good results.

I am still continuing to have the audio issue with nested projects in V9a. If I pop out to edit a nested project, when the master project renders the sub projects audio, it will often be a partial fil starting in the middle of the project. I have to go back and close the master project, delete the sfp0 and sfx file and then reopen the master file and have it try again. Sometimes it gets it right on the second try, sometimes it does not.
