I've been "nesting" veg files onto "master timelines" for quite awhile now. My understanding is, the new nesting feature is just a more streamlined workflow - being able to bounce between, as opposed to having to open another instance of VP, etc.
Yes. That is a pretty handy addition, however.
It wasn't a complaint - just clarification. Other than the fact that my BCC 8 is dead in this version (which doesn't make any sense, since their Suite goodies always seem to include something from Boris), I think this is a very robust upgrade.

I think that once all the bugs are worked out of 17, it will be considered one of the best versions ever.
