Nested Veg problems

Hey All,

I'm working on 8.0b right now and have a 75-minute timeline that (at this point) is only consisting of veg files. I've been running into freeze problems. Sometimes they occur when I'm cross-fading two veg files. I'm also experiencing occurences where I can click anywhere on the timeline and the preview is always black - then, if I hit Play, it freezes up.

Is this something that has happened to anybody else? Any ideas? I'm building a master timeline for a features, and would really like to have a more stable environment to work in. At this point, I'm cosnidering rendering out the scene blocks and pulling the DV files into V7...

EDIT: In case it might matter, I don't show any preview frames in the nested veg files - just the transparency checker pattern.

Remember that when you put a .veg file on the timeline you're also adding all the media files that .veg file refers to. This means you potentially have an enormous amount of media that Vegas is juggling. So, saying your timeline consists of only .veg files isn't telling us much about your project.

Maybe the thing to do is to render out the scene block veg files, since the only work I'm doing at this point is audio.

The veg files are just video. I've got a feeling it's the audio plugins that are twisting my rope.
