Hi,
we often work with Nesting when we are cutting incomming series raw material for german DVD release. We have material from DigiBeta 4 Audio Channels on 4 Mono Tracks in Vegas that are panned left/right. 3+4 (ME) are muted most of the time. We split the RAW material into seperate parts such as Opening, PartA, PartB and Ending and save individual projects for these.
Each time when nesting, Vegas makes a downmix of the nested project. When I have a Project where I have 4 panned mono tracks and nest another project with original 4 panned mono tracks, Vegas places 1 stereo audio into 1 mono track.
That means that we have to ungroup, duplicate audiotrack, choose only left/right and reduce audiolevel by -6dB.
Is there any known possibility to avoid this or make it easier?
