Network computers reboot when Vegas started?

I have a simple network with generally two computers attached. Recently one computer has begun to restart/reboot when I restart the second computer and today when I started Vegas. The culprit system is running XP Pro and Vegas/DVDA 5. The victum system, the one that is remotely restarted, is Win2k.

I am baffled and other than the typical windows solution - reformat both and start again - I really don't have much idea what is going on. I am hopeing it has something to do with perhaps a poor setup of the network rendering service.

Any suggestions, perhaps a more appropriate support group, would really be appreciated.

Thanks,

Rusty

Turn OFF the option to auto start (probably in the BIOS) on network activity.

thanks for the tip, however, I don't think this is the problem. The systems began to interact after months of working normally w/o any changes to bios.

Also I do not see any options in bios for network auto start.

Cordially,

Richard
