New Blue no longer registed in V12

Kazzy wrote on 12/11/2012, 8:04 AM
Hello,
I installed V12 a while back and now have noticed that when I try and use any of the new blue effects (except some of the light blends transitions) the watermark appears and nothing I try gets it working again in this version. I have clicked on the "register using existing serial # button" but this generates an error message. Sony has not replied and new blue was no help as they sent some dribble that was of no help.
Any advice appreciated.

Kazzy, if you go to newbluefx.com, go to Support, and submit a support e-mail, NewBlue will help you. Please make sure you mention exactly which effects/transitions are having a problem. For example, if it's the "Starter Pack" effects, these are installed with Titler Pro so updating Titler Pro would resolve your issue.

BTW, a new version has just been released. You can find it here:
http://downloads.newbluefx.com/downloads/Windows/NewBlueTitlerProForWindowsSetup10-121205.exe

Updates Include:
· New Feature: Option checkbox added to map textures flat to character sides
· New Feature: Adds custom naming of paragraphs and shapes in the Titler Pro timeline
· New Feature: Offers media relinking when Titler Pro projects are opened
· New Feature: Support added for NewBlue Video Essentials VI
· New Feature: Includes new Shft and Opt modifier keys when dragging paragraph handles
· New Feature: New Delete options for keyframes in the timeline and keyframe list
· Improves stability and performance on all platfoms - both Mac and Win
· Resolves conflicts with Titler 1.0 on the same system
· Improves performance for some AMD graphics cards
· Resolves crashes associated with corrupted font registries
· Improves gradient performance when used on 2D layers
· Resolves issues with transition rendering when motion blur is turned on
· Fixes unnecessary file creation in root folder when video textures are used
· Improves stability when another instance is invoked while a previous one is processing
· Resolves issues with releasing memory
· For Adobe Premiere Pro CS6, cleans up all files with uninstall
· For Avid Media Composer, removes issue on some systems with crash on exit
· For Grass Valley Edius 6.0, resolves crash when video is imported as a texture
· For Sony Vegas Pro 11, now works with 32-bit float when used as a video effect

I'm having the same problem as the OP. It was working a few days ago and now seems to have just disappeared. I downloaded the new version (v1.0 Build 121205) as suggested by jetdv but this hasn't sorted the problem. The S/N that I received from Sony isn't working either and the Activate box remains greyed out. I couldn't activate it the first time around either by copying and pasting the S/N from the original Sony email and had to type it in manually from the keyboard. But at least it worked and activated - now I can't even get that far. Darn temperamental thing this Titler Pro is - you'd think they would have got it sorted by now with so many users reporting problems.

If you are using Vegas Pro 11 or 12 and install Titler Pro 1 from the link I provided, make sure you ONLY choose the "OpenFX" option. If you use the OpenFX version, no further activation will be required. You don't need to go to the activation screen!

Here is what happened to me.

I was running V11 with the NewBlue Titler SN provided with my purchase of V11.

I installed V12 ( without un-installing anything ) and when I tried to use NewBlue Titler with V12 it announced my trial period had expired and the watermark appeared.

I un-installed NewBlue Titler from the control panel, then downloaded and installed NewBlue Titler from the link provided with my purchase of V12. When I tried to use the NewBlue Titler SN provided with the purchase of V12, it would not work.

When I used the SN for NewBlue Titler provided with my purchase of V11, all was well,,

Confusing, but it worked..

You cannot use the version of Titler Pro that originally shipped with Vegas Pro 11 because it does not know about Vegas Pro 12. So you definitely need a newer version.

Here's the most current version:

Just make sure you install only the "OpenFX 64-bit" option.
