Wonder if you have the New Blue stuff in 8.0c then install the new 64bit stuff will it zap the 32 bit stuff or will both the 32 bit and 64 bit installed live together if you have 8.0c and 8.1 on the same machine?

It will work in both 8.0c and 8.1 if you install it for both.

Yea, for those of you who don't have Vista 64 yet, there are completely different installation paths for 32-bit and 64-bit applications so that you can have both installed at once. Adobe Photoshop CS4 is like this. They install both versions because some plug-ins only work in 32-bit mode. So get use to installing two of everything for a while until everything goes 64-bit.

@Peter Wright,

Do you have a link? I looked at their website and their download page and the only thing that I noticed was that some of the versions now have an "a" after them, but I didn't see anything about 64 bit.

NM. I read the specs over and it says they work with Vegas 8.1 64 bit. Downloading now ... and thanks!

I was just informed that the new versions also now all support float as well. So both 32-bit and 64-bit users can gain some benefit by upgrading to the newest versions.

Has anybody gotten the 64 bit versions to work with Vegas 8.1? I tried installing Video Essentials (licensed) and Vegas 8.1 doesn't show it in the FX list, like 8.0c does. I'm running Vista x64 Ultimate.

EDIT: I must be losing it today. I just uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it works fine. It's nice to have some 3rd party stuff work in Vegas 8.1. Cineform MOV files work and now Blue FX.
