I've had a Vaio Digital Studio Desktop for over a year now. I don't recall the model number, but specs are pretty similar. I love this machine. It is far and away the most rock solid PC I've ever owned. I can't get this machine to burp or hiccup, let alone crash. As with anything electronic, your mileage may vary, but I couldn't be happier, and I recommend them whole-heartedly, unlike some PC's I've owned in the past. Good luck with your new toy!

No problem installing and registering the software on the new computer. In fact, if you keep your old computer then you can have the software installed on both, providing you don't use it on both at the same time.

If you register the software on too many different computers then your serial number will automatically be disabled and you won't be able to register it again until you call SONY's tech support and explain what's going on and why it's been installed so many times. I've gone up to about 5 installs of the same serial number due to upgrades and reformats and it hasn't been a problem yet.

I have a Sony Vaio and my only problem is that most of the software that comes with it is junk.
The Sonic media player that comes with it will only rip music to Sony's own propriotary format. (Well, Sony us a LARGE music publisher as we know..)
I could never get MusicMatch to install on it. It's also impossible to install Pinnacle on it., so that led me to Movie Factory and for that I;m actually happy :-)

The analog inputs work fine for the Giga analog capture software that comes with it, but I don't know how to associate the analog inputs with any other software.
