DTS just (as of October 2004) released a new DTS-ES encoder software package that creates both CD and DVD-V compatible 6.1-channel files. Is there any chance that DVD-A2 will support the DTS file that is created by the new encoder? If not, any chance that compatibility will be added in a future DVD-A2 release?
may be not the same as you can encode audio in other software - and DVDA need only to make authoring of dvd not coding - you are not able make dvds when other professional programs prepare separated audio and video streams for authoring. dvda check if theese files is internally supported - then ok - otherwise files will be recoded :(
even mpeg audio not supported as destination sound format .....
ScottW, um...Actually *I* was the one who ask the question about the new DTS encoder in this forum. Since I only joined the forum a few days ago I don't think I asked the same question in any other part of this forum. Perhaps you were mistaken.
However, if you wish to point out that it is answered somewhere else, good netiquette would have been to include a link to that answer.
Scott's not "mistaken," he just wasn't talking to you. :) Change your account settings to thread view for a moment, and you'll see that he was replying to asheraa.
