Unless I missed something, the only real change to the basic editor is that you can SEE the ripple edit better, no change in the way it performs. I also saw no changes to the titler, credit roll function, transition implementation, or any mention of a change that would reduce the likelihood of gaps, blank frames, flash frames, or other anomalies.
The faster render times sounds like an improvement because it will take less time to locate problems after you render in case you have to rerender which is usually the case. That feature I liked. The rest seem like bells and whistles to me. Sorry to put an early damper on the hoopla.

I think that's an overstatement. I've had a blank frame issue recently, but it's far from "usually the case" that problems with Vegas occur.
However, yeah, the list of things you mention should be hammered out and resolved. Losing fades and/or transitions when moving events is pretty aggrivating.

I'll bet most people render more than once for one reason or another. Many of us are perfectionists. And I don't mean that as a put down to anyone. It is just the truth. Many of us are fussy.
