New feature - start with subtitling tracks ON

Not only can you select and control the current assignment of the likes of subtitling tracks - you can also turn them on with the project properties (or probably though the DVD Start script).

Now, much as I haven't managed to do this - this is great news for many special needs and silent kiosk applications. Nice to do custom CG-text, but you can also do that with Vegas+DVD by jazzing up the font/background/placement options in the latest release.

Thought I'd just make sure folks didn't miss this. This takes a bit of effort in other apps and is typically what folks are forced to do in IfoEDIT or DVDLabPro - both applications being rather unwieldly for the benefit of full flexibility but with the price of many gotchas.

Nice job Sony MediaSoftware.

couldn't you turn them on by default in dvda3? there's an option for it.

Indeed there is. Not so new then - although the command sequence appears to be available in the scriping - two ways to do the same thing (assuming no other conditional programming before it engages in the case of the scripted command). I came about it in a round-about fashion and wanted to share it not realising it already existed!

No wonder this is a quiet forum with folks like me making a mess of it.
Thanks for pointing this out TheHappyFriar.

the properties menu is for dvd wide subtle setup, so the scripting would allow per title/chapter/etc. That would be nice real nice. :)
