Hi Mark

Love the website. Absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately the Dr Who link isn't working and the email link doesn't work either.

Alan. This may sound silly but have you tried clicking on it? Its not right click to download? I tried the email link and it worked fine the outlook express box comes up and you can send it that way or copy and paste the link within your own email? Apologies if this sounds like Im being simplistic its just that it all works fine for me?

I really have to try and find out the problem here any help is appreciated

Thanks kkolbo glad you enjoyed it!

C4D models look nice. Great project. I noticed some bluescreen issues, but for a fan movie, A+ for effort and overall performance.

Hi Mark

Yes I was clicking on the link (not trying to download it).

In Netscape 7.2 when I click the Dr Who link the page goes blank as if it's trying to connect to something but then it just returns back to your home page. If I click on your email link it opens up my mail window and pastes "stormdrainfilms.co.uk" into the recepients address field. This obviously isn't a valid email address.

In IE 5 when I click the Dr Who link nothing happens at all. No flashing, no blinking, nothing. If I click on your email link in IE5 I get an error dialogue box that says "The ordinal 36 could not be located in the dynamic link library MAPI32.dll"

Sorry but it just don't work. (for me)

Thanks apit34356

Yes I had problems with lighting and the greenscreen in an enclosed space plus the limitations of DV color space it didnt help either that there was so much to greenscreen and so much to do!

Sorry Mark, the email address is still wrong (not that it matters to me).

It now comes up with "stormdrainfilms.yahoo.co.uk" The @ is missing.

As for the greenscreen issues ...

It looked better than most of the broadcast Dr. Who's I watched with such anticipation when Tom was the Doctor. Ok, I miss having an assistant with great cleavage but I can forgive that for the improvement in the technology.

You entertained Epirb and me. That means you have an audience that knows the Dr.

I remember the first time I discovered the Dr. i cant remember the episode but as i was channel surfing i came across a scene with a world /planet destructing... it looked like the prop was a sphere the cracked in half and what looked like 2 bic lighter flames shooting out . i laughed at the cheesey effects kept watching and next thing you know Tom Baker's personality and the stories had me hooked for good.

I found a free ring modulater VST effect and set it to 100hz to create the voices.
mark2929 wrote on 6/8/2007, 2:43 PM
Eric it kind of grows on you somehow I think without the assistants though things may have gone down hill My favourite was perpugillium brown I think thats right (Peri)

Yes I know some of the effects were really bad. Who can forget the attacking maggots? I think it was called the green death. My favourite Doctor was the original william hartnell who bought a wise grandfatherly appeal to the role as well as being more cinematic in his portrayal by that I mean the character was believable and made larger than life by his portrayal. Some of the ideas in the sixties were really good and really the effects were not up to the job but they are today and some major films would probably do very well now.
