New Forum problem?

Maybe its just me... maybe not...

I've noticed that the scroll bar is jumping as you drag it. Its happening when reading longer posts, threads that have lots of posts and when reading/editing posts I've written. I move the scroll bar down to see more, it all by itself jumps higher. I drag it down again, it jumps again.

Never noticed it do that before. Anyone seeing it or maybe I got a mischievous gremlin inside my computer.

Funny you should mention it... Yes, I just started seeing that the last couple of weeks. Have to close down IE and relaunch and then no problems. It seems to happen randomly and only at this site.

I just tried it with the DECK thread and it happened.

I think it might be a browser problem?? For the people that are experiencing it what browser are you using??

I am using Avant Browser and can't get it to happen. Maybe it's an internet explorer thing conflicting with something on the Vegas site?

This forum has been working perfectly for me for quite some time. However,
the MainSony forums for all other products (Not Sonic Foundry) are terrible.
I tried to register a new TV about 8 times and each time they want you to deactivate the Norton antivirus and firewall and enable scripting before the web site functions. Are you kidding? Next I will have to drive a wooden stake through my heart.

Not sure if it is exactly the same but I have something like what BB talks about happen every now and then. I have your typical mouse with the center wheel and if I accidently 'click' it I find that web pages will bounce up and down like BB describes.

I use Mozilla to browse.

BillyBoy,

Just a follow-up. Don't know if this is an IE problem, but when this happens it is at a point when my browser is maximized. If I "restore down" then I get control of the slide bar again. Don't know the full answer but at least you can recover without exiting and restarting the browser again.

For me it seems to come and go regardless if the browser is full screen or not. For example yesterday when I was trying to scroll down a long thread the scroll bar would keep jumping back up not allowing me to go lower unless I held the mouse down.

Then I noticed if I clicked lower on the browser scroll bar it changed to that funny circle with a line through it icon (like you see in Vegas when you try to drag a file type to the timeline it doesn't support) and it simply wouldn't let me scroll at all. Very weird happening. Don't recall seeing that before.

The only time I have noticed this is when the page has not completely finished loading when I try to scroll down. If I have scrolled down, when the page finishes loading, it will pop back up to the top. This generally only happens when I'm on dial-up on my laptop. It almost never happens on my cable modem at the office, but it has hapened.
