new from premiere..question please

Hi All, Trying my hand at not crashing..one question on new software.
Assembly edits: I am in trimmer window, I select my in and out, and hit "a" to send to track. BUT indicator keeps going back to the in point. How do I get it to stay on the out point to continue from where I left off? I think it's something in the prefs? I have tried everything.
Thanks, Enjoying so far, But I am a long way from a playable dvd.

I never thought of it as a problem..... until now
It is normal behavior in all Vegas.
Maybe one of our experts have a fix.

I never use the trimmer, just seems like too much extra effort to me, so i never experience this problem. That being said, a quick click of the "go to end of project" button after adding each piece should take care of it.
