Download the Vegas 4.0 Demo Beta at www.sonicfoundry.com and try it. The demo clickable line is near the top, right, in TINY print. Nothing like trying it. We hope it works.

3d... droool.... I wish I could afford a second projector so I could do polarized projection. it's my new years resolution to get way into this stuff. I've got games working on my projector, but photography and video is my next goal. if you learn anything about Vegas / 3d please post!

I haven't tried it yet but was just wondering if anyone had.
That Canon lens is a real wallet burner ($8000.00) but the
razor 3D camcorder is only $300.00. Also wondered how you would
treat double pictures on the timeline, if you would have to
separate them on a double timeline or what. Well I can dream on.

James-

"the razor 3D camcorder is only $300.00."
Actually, it is a lens attachment for your existing camcorder.

right it appears to be a nu-view and a 3d viewing system. you need to provide your own camcorder ;)

forget about the canon lens unless budget is not a concern! I would just get two camcorders like the ones pictured here:

http://www.studio3d.com/pages/stereovideo.html

the resolution should be better anyway since there are two cameras instead of one.

I think the process would be...
- capture both tapes
- line the stuff up on two separate tracks in vegas
- edit at will (making sure to keep them synced)
- then render each track out to an avi
- use special software (???) to combine the two avi's into a single 3d NTSC stream which is viewable on interlaced equipment like a TV using various brands of 3d glasses designed for that purpose

I haven't figured out a way to do it with the two projectors but there are people who talk about stuff like that here:

Sorry about the Razor mixup. It seems a bit more complex than
I thought with the double everything.
