Nice!!! Its about time plugin manufacturers started looking at serious issues. It always seems like the computer side so is UNprofessional in attitude and philosophy behind the old hardware guys, hopefully well see more shifts in thinking like this.

We have reviewed this internally and - you wont like this - we probably wont support it.

Why? It isn't needed in our opinion. It only makes it easy for the plugin vendor since they can now blame the host for not doing something that the plugin should be doing internally.

Let the flames begin.

If you say so dude. I'm just curious as to what will happen with the next update of theirs. If you guys don't support it I wonder what problems I'll be having and who will I be pressed to blame to get a fix. Especially if others start following their lead...Why fix it if it ain't broke???

They mentioned some audio benefits though in the article. Don't we already have this in the current DX build?

Peter, the help youve given to plugin guys to make PDC work is great, and totally appreciated. I was questioning the need, but There are still a few plugs that either dont have PDC or dont work WITH other plugs because of this

You cant use the UA stuff for example with any of the Ultrafunk lookahead stuff. Yeah UA is a bad example but still

wave arts and ultrafunk go funny together as well

is this stuff totally unrelated to what would be needed for a sidechainable plugin system ? We really COULD use that still
