I have a Samsung 910T Syncmaster
I like the fact that I can rotate the screen when I have a lot of tracks on the time line(makes it taller thatn wider)
The other screen is a Planar 17" widescreen, I mainly use this one for my time line cuz I can see more of the t/l horizontaly.

I have three View Sonics: 2 VE500 15" and one VE700 17" They're good workhorse monitors. My only complaint is that they tend to be dark. I've had low light footage that was all but unseeable on the View Sonics but which looked pretty good on a studio monitor. I definately can not use these for brightness, contrast or color correction.

The price/value ratio is good as far as I'm concerned and I definitely recommend them for editing.

EDIT: After writing this I went on-line and looked at some of the reviews of the VP191b. They're mixed (
for example.) Check these out on Google. I'd still buy ViewSonic, though.

I've got three Samsung 172x and they're damn good monitors, very shallow and easy to mount in a variety of ways. Far from ideal for video though perhaps a bit better than the average LCD. Best I'm using is a HP 23" for HDV, comes the closest to what you can get with glass. We've also got some Philips TV/Monitor things, pretty horrid actually, on fast motion they introduce what looks like macroblocking. That sent me off on a wild goose chase for a while.

On the original thread, I put my two cents in that I liked my Dell Ultrasharp LCD monitor.

From what I have seen they are hard to beat for the price, especially if you catch one of Dell's regular sales.

Well, though it is an LCD, it's on my laptop, so it may not be an extra fair comparison. However, I have a 15.4 WUXGA 1920x1200 res ultra sharp LCD on my 9100 and it seems to be doing just fine for me. Got the high res so that I could really cram on those windows :-)

It might be possible, but I can't imagine anything better than the HP L2335 at $1365.00 for 1920 x 1200. It is one fantastic monitor with controls out the wazu.

Well, yes, I can think of one improvement: A direct 1394 connection so I could play stright from my deck or camcorder. But, eveything else is there and works perfectly.

I use it with my ATI FireGL V5100 card, 2 DVI outputs plus TV. When I pivot the HP L2335 (Yes, it pivots), you just can't imagine how many tracks you can get on the now 1200 x 1980 screen, while putting the Vegas Preview screen on another monitor altogether. What a blessing.
