I sent an email to Sony asking if we could overwite the delivered drivers with M.C.'s latest. In their reply Sony said NO. The delivered drivers are not exclusively developed by M.C., but co developed by Sony. As such the exclusive M.C. software is not "plug in" compatable. This could just be the corporate line by Sony as other people on this forum have already done it, but I believe they did lose some functionality.

Bought the download shortly after it was released. Read here some time ago theat the best way to encode is render as an avi first. That's what I did with the my first MC 1.4 clip. It is a good encoder and perhaps I am imagining things again but it seems to go faster than exporting a pre-rendered clip from the timeline.
