New Media Generators Needed - V4

Hi All,
I am going to start doing a new project, and I need some form of media generator that will allow me to place names at the bottom, over the video. This is similar to what they do for news items, have a person talking, and a display comes up saying who it is, normally has the TV logo as well.
MAybe I have to design something myself, but I am not very artistic, and have not played around with the photo shop type programs much.

The question would be, once done, how does one import it into V4?

Any help would be great.

Kev

My preference is to use Macromedia Fireworks for this type of work. Vegas will import the native PNG file that Fireworks uses. (Just drag / drop onto the time line) Then if you want to change the name, colors, logo, whatever... you can just pop open that PNG file in Fireworks and edit away. Edit the text, change the colors, etc... it's a lot easier to do this stuff in Fireworks than Photoshop.

FYI - whatever areas are transparent in the PNG will be transparent when you import it into Vegas.

Another option is to create a graphic without the name of the person in Photoshop or Fireworks or Paint Shop Pro, etc. Just a strip at the bottom of the frame with your logo. Then use the Text Generator inside Vegas to place various names on top of your backdrop. That way you can use the same backdrop file over and over.
