New mobo, new OS ?

Due to a seemingly terminally rooted XP install (over/reinstall keeps the same problem) , further complicated by a hardware issue, I've taken the plunge and ordered an i7 mobo ( Gigabyte GA-P55-USB3 - still has 3 old pCI slots).

Now I'm thinking it would be silly to put anything other than W7/64 on it. But will my old plugins work ? Such as Waves 5, and other 32-bitters ?

Can't tell you about Waves.
My old 32-bit-only plugs work fine under Vegas 32-bit, but are not available under 64-bit.
So I'm keeping both versions installed. No problem.

That is Vegas 32-bit running under W7/64 that the 32-bit plugs work in ?

Yes.

I hadn't attempted V10-32 on a W7-64 machine before.

Good - will give it a try then ;-)

64-bit Vegas still has a lot of teething problems, and many plugins still lack 64-bit releases. Unless you really need that extra RAM, 32-bit Vegas in a 64-bit environment is the way to go.
