Are you PTTing to a VCR tape or DVTape?

For VCR PTTing
Have you viewed this first minute of the rendered avi file? Do you see this effect when you preview it? You can do this by Importing it into the Media Pool and Dropping it onto a spare TImeline space - yes? You haven't said you've done this, so I'm assuming you haven't checked for this - yes?

If so, go back to your project and preiview the project itself. The only way I know of getting super-slomo is by ctrl-stretching the video clip itself. This you can do in VF. Sometimes I stick in an effect without knowing. If you have checked for this already - apologies. But, you don't say you have checked for this in your post so I'm assuming you haven't.

The other way would be for your VCR to somehow be recording in fast mode for a minute then slow down to "normal" speed. So that when you view it on a TV the first minute would be in super slomo and the rest in normal speed - this is very interesting . . .hmmmmmmm . . ..

For DV PTTing
If you are printing to DV tape AND you are getting this effect - super slomo for the first minute - I'm guessing here - but I suppose switching from LP to SP mid session could do this - But I aint sure.

The other global possibility would be for some truly techie IT thing screwing 'round with your system. But that would be for others to confim or deny - yeah?

Get back to us, we'll be reading and thinking about it,

Grazie, thanks for your suggestions. I have tried them and found no problems. I have now tried rendering from two different loop regions just to see if I could isolate the problem. Each time the video plays in slo-mo so either I have made some mistakes like the one you described or there is a setting somewhere that could change all this. Is there any other way to confirm if I have streched these to play in slo-mo? Any suggestions?
