New Project Startup Preferences

I want to start new projects with certain settings for screen layout and the like. I know that I go under Project / Properties..., set my defaults, and then make the box is checked by "Start All New Projects With These Settings".

However, when I close Vegas 10 Platinum and then reopen it, and choose Project / New..., it does not show those defaults that I had set for new projects. If I then look at Project / Properties..., the box by "Start All New Projects With These Settings" is unchecked.

I don't know if others have had this problem, and if so if there are any solutions.

"screen layout and the like" are not part of Project Properties.
A "Project" is a defined set of shell parameters for your timeline media, only.

If you want to save a certain layout, go to View->Window Layouts and save it as a preset.
