I'm looking into adding a DVD burner, and was sold on the Sony DRU-500AX. After checking prices, I learned that Circuit City considers it a clearance item, but is still selling it for about $350, if you find a store that still has them.
I checked the Sony website and learned of a new burner called the DRU-510A, which sells for $349.99 on the Sony website. The 500AX is no longer on the website, so I assume this drive is being discontinued. Has anyone tried the new DRU-510A drive with Vegas & DVD Architect?
Sonic Foundry, will you support this drive? Have you tested it?
