If you have Win XP its just to connect the drive with a firewirecable power up the drive and it should be visible in windows,VV4,DVDA Nero etc
You don´t need any drivers in win XP

I have the same drive. The version I bought had old firmware version 2.0c and the latest one is 2.0e. When I first installed the drive I could burn to it from the supplied WinDVD software and the drive did appear as a "CD Drive" in the Explorer drive list. However XP did not recognize the drive as being able to burn anything as the normal "Recording Tab" was missing (Select the properties of the drive and you should see a Recording tab).

I cured this problem by upgrading the firmware from version 2.0c to 2.0e. Get that from here

There is also a useful diagnostic tool available here which does some basic tests on your drive.
