New Text Event problem DISCOVERED!

I understand if I create a text track and copy it VEGAS asks if I want to create a NEW Text or a COPY. However, if you accidentally miss the "OK" click it selects the COPY (it is on the same line). This created a huge problem for me for I did this and it messed up a video project I have.

Is there a way to have MY TEXT when copied to always create a NEW one where that pop up does not come up? Or SONY should make the next upgrade so you have to select in the CIRCLE only to change the settings and not anywhere around it.

Usually, once you select NEW or COPY, it will stick until you change it.

Yes Dave. However you have to hit "OK" every time and if you accidentally miss that it selects MAKE COPY (on same line). With this being the case you think it is set to NEW but it is not causing HUGE problems.
