New to DV capturing, need some help.

I recently go a Sharp DV cam to try my hand at vido shooting. Then i got a
Firewire card with three ports and Vegas Video 4. I also have an ATI TV Wonder card i use to cap from TV and my VHS VCR.
Now my problem is with the quality of the captured DV video. After capturing it with Vegas i played the clip back with windows media player 9 and got a shock. The images had serious ghosting and where fuzzy. Although the color is fine. Here is a still frame sample of a car going through the shot and
a shot with not much motion.

Is this effect normal? Should i use Progressive scan for capturing maybe?
All help appreciated.

That's normal. Well, it can be changed on some camera's by adjusting the shudder speed (if you camera does that), but it's normal. It's just the frames blecnding together. Whe nyou play it on your TV through Vegas it will look ok. Give it a shot and you'll see what I mean.
