The JVC TMH-150CGU 15-Inch Color Production Monitor is an excellent choice.

No "extra" video card needed.

Check the Vegas PDF manual (based on your set-up) as to how to "enable" the new monitor. If you're using V8, check out page 306 for more information.

Ditto on that monitor. Grazie has one too and loves it just as much.

I bought it fromG&G Technologies in Secaucus, NJ. I picked it up, but their shipping rates are pretty cheap and no tax either.

So it's something like $450.64 + $30 shipping.

I've got 4 of them in various student edit suites and have been very happy with them.
The other thing you'll need to do is to learn how to set up this monitor properly.
Fortunately, Color Bars and How To Use 'em is an excellent tutorial.
