New User - Any known Canopus/Matrox Issues?

Like many others, I have been evaluating Vegas 4.0 and am impressed. However, I am looking to add either a Canops Board or a Matrox Real Time Board in the near future.

Has anyone heard of any issues with these boards and Vagas? Is anyone using either of these currently?

Hi showard,

There is little advantage to realtime playback hardware video cards like the canopus or matrox. Vegas only supports OHCI 1394 DV I/O.

Some users at the high-end are using Digisuite boards to capture uncompressed, but most users are working in the DV segment.
