New User Help

I searched the Knowledge base questions and I searched the forum headings and I guess I missed what I was looking for so here goes:

I installed VV3 last night and played with the clips...I am truly impressed with the program. HOWEVER, I can't get VV3 to see my Sony TRV 30 camera. When I select "Capture", I get a popup saying that it couldn't open the 'Sony DV camera'. I looked in the help section and rebooted several times and re-launched VV3 several times...sometimes with the camera already on and sometimes turning the camera on afterwards...I get the same error msg. Under the 'Options" menu most of the items are greyed out. Please help if you can.

System Sony laptop/750mhz/128 ram/Win98se/Trv 30 camera

Try reading the Sonic Foundry PDF on OHCI devices

Thanks for the information. I downloaded the pdf file and printed out what I needed...I also found out that there is a patch that pretty much automates the process. Anyway, I did it and everything seems to be working fine. Thanks again.
