The "Killer 3D Graphics and Lower Thirds" DVD is just about ready to ship. You can view a little info on it at http://www.vasst.com/dvdproducts/cool3d.htm
There are special community-only prices available on the DVD, check the site for more info. You can also view a streaming section of one of the training modules.
Look carefully through the site, you might find some other exciting new DVD's buried in there.

Spot,
Some great training DVD's on the VAAST site. Definitely going after the Audio set. Noticed the new Vegas DVD mentioned for $59 that is coming. What will that include?

We can't talk about what the new Vegas DVD will include, hence the reason there is no link on that page yet. It's just a place holder. It's a partial followup to my Class on Demand DVD on Vegas we did a year ago for Vegas 4.

He he - No link but it is there anyway...blame it on the webmaster? ;) Like I said over at DMN - nice info there, almost more than the ill fated Sony press release had.

Sort of as an aside - so many NLE apps use Flash now, why? I can understan dit for web design and yes I have seen some clever "Flash films" but for editing on it's won - I mean is it really that much of a market to add it to certian software we know and love? I can understand 3d ability, especially for titles and such, but Flash? I really must be missing something here. Guess I will have to spring the 60 bucks come May huh? ;)

Spot,

The instructor is excellent in that clip. Very natural and smooth. I've never looked at Ulead 3D before but I could follow along.

As a selling point you may want to put up some examples of Killer 3D-graphics and lower thirds, for people who don't own Ulead Cool 3D yet, but might be enticed to buy it once they have seeen what it can do and also now that they know good instruction is available for it.
